The Apple iPhone 4 Press Conference has started a few minutes ago and Steve Jobs has just announced that they sold over 3 million iPhone 4 devices. Then they have proved that the Apple iPhone 4 is not the only device that faces signal issues if you hold it in a specific way. The Samsung Omnia 2, Blackberry Bold 9700, and HTC Droid Eris have basically the same problems. We didn’t test them yet, but we could consider they are right, because each phone has an antenna placed somewhere and can drop signal if covered by hand.
According to them, only 0.55 percent of iPhone 4 users called about the antenna signal problem, though probably there are others who wanted so badly to show off their iPhone 4 and didn’t care so much about the antenna issue. Otherwise, each AT&T phone faces signal problems due to the networks, so it’s nothing new to AT&T users.
They are also trying to prove iPhone 4 is much better than the 3GS by comparing the return rates. It seems like the iPhone 4 has a 1.7% return rate, compared with the 6.0% in the 3GS’s case.
