The price drop of the BlackBerry Torch 9800, from $199 to $99 on a contract, was reportedly incited by poor sales of the device in its first week. Could it be that existing BlackBerry users are just too happy with their current phones, and that the Torch doesn’t do enough to lure-in additional new smartphone users?
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is RIM’s first slider BlackBerry, and the first to use a traditional capacitive touchscreen, following the odd haptic feedback touchscreen BlackBerry Storm phones.
